Here he was on the first day of school:
And on his last day:
What a difference 9 months can make! He's learned 3 ways to sing the "ABC" song (which all sound eerily similar), how to write his name (but not when I ask him) and he can tell me which day of the week it is (if I tell him two or three times first). He's made lots of friends and he's already lined up playdates for the rest of the summer (now I just have to call their moms to set it up). Boy, I'm going to be busy the next few months!
Since it's also Teacher Appreciation Week, I made a cute little gift for his teachers and the school's director (who I had the pleasure of working with for a few months before going on bedrest).
I found the cups at Walmart and filled them with mint candy. I made tags using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and distressed them with Bamboo and Desert Sand inks. I cut the flower from the cartridge as well and inked the edges with Smoothie ink. Then I tied the tags to the straws with some Sassy Strands (retired) to finish it off. The tags read: Have a "cool" summer! (Get it? Mint and cool?)
If you're in the local area, I'll be at Root's Flea Market tomorrow selling some of my hand made goodies. Stop by and say hi!
