It's been quite a year!

It's been awhile since I've devoted any time to my scrapbooking, or anything creative really. It's been a wild ride this last year and my free time evaporated overnight.

I was able to sneak away for two weekends over the winter but all my tools & scrapbooks just sat where I left them when I came home. In fact, they're still there now.

But I do have plans to get back into my (brand new) scrap room soon and when I do I will share with you the layouts I created while I was at my weekend crops as well the as start up to my summer classes and workshops. I have some plans to start up a card class and scrapbooking workshops soon.

I wanted to share with you the June specials this month because they are super cute.

My Crush books are a quick and easy way to preserve your summer memories while you make them. Simply add your ticket stubs, park maps or memorbilia into the pages then add your photos when you get them developed. Easy!

The Stamp of the Month is perfect for all the ice cream parties, root beer floats and melted goodness that are sure to show up in your summer photos. They also make a super cute party invitation!

I am really excited because Convention is right around the corner! After the chaos of the last year, I am looking forward to spending some time with my sister consultants playing and learning together. This is also my first year I am able to attend the Leadership Day which is an extra free day from Corp where we learn some great business building information.

The best part of convention this year is that it's in Disney Land - simply my favorite place to be!

Check out the tabs above to see what's new. I'll talk to you again in a few days! 'Bye!

Chalk It Up Layout - from Convention

Every year at Convention, Corp spoils us consultants in so many ways! My favorite part of going to convention is getting to make all the beautiful artwork created by Corp using all the new, fun products that were just announced!

This layout was especially fun because it used a theme paper pack (back to school) in an unexpected way.

This layout is just begging for candid shots from a random day - I'm thinking of one of those days that everyone is yelling at each other all day long until we're all outside, digging in the dirt, and I'm watering the garden then surprise! Everyone is wet and giggling and playing together. {Okay, maybe not a random day - that was our yesterday.}

Here are some close ups of some of the fun parts of the layout.

I have always been a stickler for actually handwriting the journalling on layouts, whether they're mine or for a client (I make them do it). There's just something extra special when you're own handwriting is on the page. This layout uses little sketch marks to embellish the title. I love sketch marks, there really is no wrong way to do it.

This concludes my month-long project with the Chalk It Up paper pack. I hope you enjoyed it! I did so I'm going to continue next month only using one paper pack. I'll be working with the Scaredy Cat paper pack, embellishments and coordinating stamps. See you soon!

CMTH Artistic Adventure Convention 2014

I'm here! I'm here!!!

I made it to Disney Land!! If you haven't had a chance to check out my facebook page, I'm posting updates on my trip to CTMH's 2014 Convention called - "Artistic Adventure" in Disney Land CA.

While my friends were stuck inside today at Leadership training, I've spent the day stalking, er, finding characters for photos and autographs. So far, I've met Chip, Pluto, Goofy, Alice, Jasmine and Goofy (twice!!!). And I haven't even registered yet!!! {Smile!}

It really is so magical here at Disney and partnered with Close to My Heart, I feel like a princess!

Now would be a good time to "Like" my facebook page to find out what I'm up to (it's so much easier to post there on my cell then blogger, for some reason). I'll do updates here as much as I can, though.

Here are some of the characters I got to hang out with today!

PS - Convention 2015 will be here in Disney Land again next year, so if you would like to join in on all the fun, please let me know!!!
